GIS Basics
- One definition of a GIS is "A collection of computer hardware, software, and geographic data for capturing, storing, updating, manipulating, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information." From the Dictionary of GIS Terminology (Redlands, ESRI Press, 2001)
