Social Work Resources on the Web
The library at Cal State Stanislaus has put together a useful collection of links arranged into several broad categories: General Guides, Related Organizations, Technology, Ethics, Education, Ejournals, History, Licensing, etc. There is also a lengthy list of links covering subjects of interest to social workers that are arranged alphabetically by subject.
Pat McClendon's Clinical Social Work Page
This is an excellent collection of resources related to all aspects of clinical social work. The author includes biographical information and links to many articles that she has written. The resources are arranged alphabetically by title, and many of them reflect the author's interest in trauma and dissociation.
SWAN: Social Work Access Network
Based at the University of South Carolina, this site features several useful resources for students of social work. It includes a listing of schools of social work that includes location and degrees offered. An extensive list of social work organizations can be found here, along with their acronyms. The site also offers a list of publications in social work, with links to their websites, and a description of the content offered by the site.
Web Resources for Social Workers
This excellent site is maintained by Gary Holden of NYU. It includes news and scholarship related to the field of social work from around the world. There are links to news stories, as well as links to the citations and abstracts of articles from social work journals on child care, qualitative social work and women and social work. There is ample information here about health, psychology, and political issues related to social work.
