National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) is the profession’s mechanism to help establish high quality teacher preparation. Through the process of professional accreditation of schools, colleges and departments of education, NCATE works to make a difference in the quality of teaching and teacher preparation today, tomorrow and for the next century. NCATE’s performance-based system of accreditation fosters competent classroom teachers and other educators who work to improve the education of all P-12 students. NCATE believes every student deserves a caring, competent and highly qualified teacher.

International Electronic Journal for Leadership in Learning
The IEJLL is a refereed electronic journal intended for a broad audience of persons interested in leadership in learning. Our audience includes members of government education departments, school boards, school councils, faculties of education, parent organizations and school staffs.
Association of American Universities
The Association of American Universities (AAU) was founded in 1900 by a group of 14 universities offering the Ph.D. degree. The AAU currently consists of 59 American universities and two Canadian universities. Approximately half are public institutions and half are private. The association serves its members in two major ways. First, it assists them in developing national policy positions on issues that relate to academic research and graduate and professional education. Second, it provides them with a forum for discussing a broad range of other institutional issues, such as undergraduate education.
History of Education: Selected Moments of the 20th Century
This is a site about education during the 20th century, organized by decades. It includes short descriptions of "educational episodes" that took place in that period. The episode in question could be a policy, a court case, a piece of legislation, a scholarly article, a new theory, a research report, an incident, the release of a book, a speech, an empirical finding, a conference, the opening or closure of an institution, a movie, an anecdote, or anything, big or small, that tells us something about education theory, policy, politics, research or practice during the last century.
