Item Checkout
Identification
The following forms of identification are required to check out material:
- A current Texas Tech University Identification Card.
- A Texas Tech University Library Card. For more information on Texas Tech University Library Cards, see the Reciprocal Borrowing Programs section under the Circulation links.
Loan Length
The loan periods listed below apply to special item and regular item checkouts, respectively. You will be informed of the checkout date by our staff and/or by the due date stamp on the checked out item. Patrons may also request a loan receipt from Circulation Staff at the time of checkout. Be advised that items may be recalled. When an item is recalled, the new due date effectively replaces the old one. We will notify you at the address on file if an item is recalled from you. It is your responsibility to return the item on time. For more information on recalls, see the Recall Policy.
