Items in Study Carrels

  • YOU are responsible for the belongings or equipment in the carrel. Personal computers, calculators, books or any other items of value should not be left unattended in the carrel.
  • All Library materials used in the carrels MUST be checked out at the Service Desk. We will inspect study carrels periodically and remove items that are not checked out or are non-circulating materials.
  • Any personal items left in the carrels past the loan period will be retained in the Circulation Department for 2 weeks. Item(s) not claimed within that time will be collected by the TTU Police Department.

Keys to Study Carrels

  • You will receive a key to the assigned carrel.
  • You MUST return the key to the Service Desk when you relinquish the carrel.
  • For each lost key, you will be charged a $60 replacement fee and a $10 processing fee. You may return the lost key to the Libraries at any time. Once the key is returned, the Libraries will issue a $60 credit for the charge to your Student Business Service account within 72 hours. The $10 processing fee for each key is NOT refundable.
