Preservation Week @ Your Library
As part of “Preservation Week @ Your Library” which takes place nationwide April 24-30, Texas Tech University Libraries will host a series of lunchtime presentations focusing on digital archiving and preservation techniques.
The following brief sessions will take place at noon in Library Room 150:

Monday, April 25 – “Preserving Dynamic Content” presented by Joy Perrin

Tuesday, April 26 – “Preserving Scrapbooks; and UA Photograph and Manuscript Collections” presented by Lynn Whitfield

Wednesday, April 27 – “Migrating Digital Content” presented by Natalie Bueno

Thursday, April 28 – “Personal Digital Archiving” presented by Tracy Popp
A fifth session will take place at noon Friday, April 29, in the Experimental Sciences Building, Room 120. Alan Sill will discuss “Large Scale Digital Preservation” and will conduct a tour of the High Performance Computing Center.
The presentations are open to the Texas Tech community; however, space is limited so please register with Tracy Popp at tracy.popp@ttu.edu to reserve a spot.
Preservation Week, a national event encouraged by the American Library Association, focuses on preserving collections – in libraries, archives and museums, and especially items held and loved by individuals, families and communities.
