Current Funds and Endowments
Student Technology Fund
Founded to provide funding for the purchase, maintenance and life cycle of items related to student technology at the Texas Tech Libraries.
Libraries Recording Studio Fund
This fund supports a new facility, with both state-of-the art technology & equipment. This will allow students, who dream of careers in music, broadcast journalism, communications & production, the opportunity to create professional demos for class projects & interviews. This will give our students a “step ahead” of the rest because of the technologically advanced environment & hands-on experience available in this new facility.
Dean's Fund for Excellence
This important fund supports emerging funding needs for the Libraries in many areas, including: computing and communications technology, student services programs, acquisitions and university outreach. Your gift to this fund allows the Dean of Libraries to respond to the ever-changing needs of the student patrons.
Library Student Space Improvement Fund
Texas Tech University Libraries had more than 3 million visits from students last year. In order to meet the needs of our student patrons, the Libraries’ will be improving study spaces with new furnishings and technology to facilitate a greater atmosphere for academic achievement. Your gift will benefit the future success of Texas Tech students.
Southwest Collections/Special Collections Library
This endowment supports the growth of popular historical
special collections & archives. Your contribution allows efforts to continue these unique archives that preserve the cultural DNA
of the American Southwest by supporting the variety of needs
for the SWC/SCL, including but not limited to: acquisitions, furnishings,
program enrichment, equipment & traveling exhibits. The SWC/SCL's
continued expansion will only be possible through the interest & generosity of its patron and friends. It is you who make the vision a reality.
Crossroads of Music Fund
This fund supports the preservation of music & music-related
materials for scholarly study. These materials include: audio/video
tapes, business records & tour schedules. A particularly important part of the archives is oral interviews from the musicians themselves. Your support of this fund will allow us to keep our field historians on the road, & to hire student assistants to process those materials (benefitting qualified students with-campus, learning-based employment). Your support will also allow us to purchase equipment to aid in both acquisition and processing of these materials.
